I grew up not too far from one of the Teddy Gray’s sweet shops (I’m pretty sure it was possible to do a work placement there from school), so it was quite special to see Magnum photographer, Martin Parr’s documentary about Teddy Gray’s sweet factory. Since 1826, it’s been owned and run by five generations of the same family, keeping the traditional hand-made methods of sweet making alive and well in England.
