I stumbled upon Lil’ B accidentally through Clams Casino’s production work for the Bay Area “Weirdo” rapper (as he’s been called). There is something pretty fascinating about him and his music: he is amazingly prolific, having something like 1,500 tracks in circulation, varying from brilliant to laughable.

He makes these awful low grade music videos (if you can call them that) of him just walking around in fields and lip syncing badly to his own music and spitting out sermons and stories of his ‘Based’ ethos (he even recently gave a lecture at NYU on his Based philosophy). It seems like he has no filter, he just makes and makes stuff, but some of it is really brilliant. I couldn’t stop listening to this track. See for yourself.
