Despite all the scepticism about aging bad-girl Courtney Love’s talent, I do think she should continue to express herself through watercolour, pencils and pastels, rather than by throwing bottles of whisky on people’s head. Until June 15, Courtney Love’s And She’s Not Even Pretty art show is on view at Fred Torres Collaborations in New York. The exibition features 50 autobiographical works, mixing watercolour, pencils, pastels, blood, and make-up. And, yes, the works are interesting indeed, hanging between children’s artsy, Yoshitaka Amano’s manga masterpieces, and 1940s fashion sketches.
