In a town where even your local bank branch hangs designer lights, and the high street has everything a product nerd could hope for, it’s hard to imagine you might still find some hidden gems. Fortunately, in Copenhagen, this is not the case.

If you happen to find yourself in this beautiful city, wander off the beaten track to the Islands Bryggae and you’ll find a little shop called Retrograd. Inside its unassuming exterior lies a wonderland of vintage design classics. Take your time and rummage through the shelves as one of the very knowledgeable owners tells you the history, origin and significance of every piece. It will be an experience you wont forget, and if you’re lucky, you might just walk away with a souvenir worthy of this design mecca.
