Future Garage: the experimental derivative of UK Garage
Future Garage is a genre that is getting more attention of late. An off-shoot of once chart-worthy UK Garage, Future Garage is a moodier, more experimental derivative. One of the proponents flying the flag is DJ Brainz. He has a fortnightly show on the award winning Sub.FM. And for those that can’t catch it live, you can also listen back on his MixCloud, or download the podcast via iTunes.

I usually find Lost at e minor very informative but this is atrocious. The track you have put up is the most hidous sounding thing I think I have ever heard and is in no way shape or form “Future Garage” – a genre which I myself am a big follower of.
Here is an article I wrote which may explain a bit better what the genre is actually like.

I’m not sure how your writer got mixed up but hopefully now you can see that actually Future Garage is lightyears away from this happy hardcore music that is included in the article.
Check out Artists like Submerse, Burial, Synkro and Disclosure.
Thanks

Cheers Rosie. They got a bit muddled and posted some randomness instead of me.
I uploaded a mix to YouTube especially for LAEM. They’ve updated the site now and it’s proper future garage.
I hope you have re-listen.
Cheers!
