The Audio Bulb: wireless lightbulb speakers
Wow. There truly is a market for everything. The AudioBulb is a lightbulb with a built in speaker that plays music through any wirelessly transmitted device. These bad boys even come with a remote control. But this is what I am wondering: what good is it having a speaker that plugs into a light socket with a burnt out bulb? Until the infinite lightbulb is pioneered I don’t see much success on the horizon for the AudioBulb.

Are you kiddin’? The market is right here in my home. I have so many unused sockets and I hate all the wiring of boxes. Please buy me a pair!

Most LED’s are manufacture rated at 100,000 hours*.
That’s eleven years without ever turning the light off. At an average of 2.5 hours a day that’s 109 years these bulbs should last.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the speakers components will stop working long before the LED’s go out.
Also, I totally one some
*Although LED “bulbs” are usually only marketed at about half that for environmental and political reasons.
