Dark and eerie photography by Yell Saccani
Yell Saccani is a photographer from Israel with a stunning portfolio that focuses on the dark side of humans. Many of Saccani’s photos remind me of Edward Munch, in particular her series where she features people that scream. Capturing her motifs mostly in movement, she has a way of creating an atmosphere of despair that I find quite haunting.

Really creepy – hard to believe its photography and not illustrations. At Foto Ruta Buenos Aires photography we always try to get our participants to appreciate their abstract images…these are great examples!

It’s not at all like Munch’s “Scream.” They strongly resemble Francis Bacon’s work. Particularly his “Pope” paintings and head studies.

It is chilling to think we remember places like this in our minds, places of terrible and fearful beauty…
