
Stunning macro photos of real Apollo 11 Moon Sand
Dr Gary Greenberg is doing an outstanding job of bringing into the eyes of the world the tiny details that most people never get to appreciate. We ran his awe-inspiring Sand series a while back. There are also these macro photos of Moon Sand taken from the historic Apollo 11 Mission, some 43 years ago, when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first walked on the moon’s surface.

Artist Jonathan Monaghan has just released a new video, Juggernaut, a 44 second 3D animation about an unfortunate meeting between a lamb and businessman. Monaghan notes the colloquial English use of the word ‘juggernaut’ as a metaphorical force regarded as mercilessly destructive and unstoppable. The clip is part of a larger series of hallucinatory, video game-inspired vignettes to come.
