The seven deadly sins by Christian Montenegro
The ‘seven deadly sins’ is a classical topic for an artist, it seems. As a fan of the Renaissance, I tend to prefer the traditional interpretation. However, Christian Montenegro, an illustrator from Buenos Aires, has come up with an interesting modernist version.
He mixes graphic design elements with comics. The result is a very colorful interpretation of the biblical motif that I find quite stunning. Montenegro’s works have been exhibited in Argentina and beyond.

Days Off is an incredibly catchy but smart punk band from Chicago. While they’re the best of what pop music through the ages has to offer, they’re by no means pop-punk. As infectious as their hooks and choruses are, there are enough off-kilter rhythms and complex guitar work to give their music a layered feel, putting them into a category all their own.
