A flat-packed pop-up bicycle rack?! A re-design of the one gallon milk jug?! A sleek laptop case made out of bent ply wood?! I’ve been admiring Brian Kelly’s simple and effective approach to product design for a long time now, simply because he takes everyday items and makes them smarter. To me this is what good design is, aesthetically pleasing while at the same time completely functional, with no excess. Form and function go hand-in-hand and get married in Kelly’s brain.
