Fumi Mini Nakamura
Fumi Mini Nakamura is a New York-based illustrator and designer. I first got to now her work via Juxtapoz. She is able to combine a dark, ornate and fragile feel to her illustration work, which I really like. She has sent me some of her latest work, including one of her workspace, for your eyes to feast on.

New York-based illustrator Dongyun Lee was born and raised in Seoul, Korea. After he received his BFA in Visual Communication Design, he moved to United States and received an MFA degree in Illustration as Visual Essay at the School of Visual Arts. His illustrations have appeared in numerous magazines, newspapers and advertising.

I’m smitten with the old timey images of New York illustrator Lisel Ashlock. She really has a way with critters and portraits.

New York-based illustrator, and some time Lost At E Minor contributor, Sam Weber, has a nice collection of new work up on his website, including this piece, appropriately titled Prospero.

Nuart: an annual international art festival
Nuart is an annual international art festival established in 2001. Since 2005, the festival has focussed exclusively on the street and urban art scene. The festival is based in Stavanger on the West Coast of Norway. Each year they have a really impresive line-up of artists, with a bundle of great murals as result. Nuart has just released a new documentary about the festival, so go make yourself a cup of coffee and watch it here.
Streets of Copenhagen: Street Art meets Graffiti
At my last exhibition, Streets of Copenhagen, I made a 3×4 meter piece in collaboration with Niels Bjorndahl. The exhibition was held in an abandoned Carlsberg warehouse. The theme of the show was Street Art meets Graffiti and the music in the video is by the Danish muscian (and my good friend), Plasma Tiger.

This entertaining documentary follows a group of seemingly clichéd American teenagers in their last year of high school. Through a comprehensive recording of their lives it reminds us that, when examining anything in detail, there is no such thing as a cliché. The naivety and hope of each student shines through, providing a memorable and accurate portrait of a middle-American high school. Read more
