GSElevator Twitter feed

A good friend that rolls down on Wall Street told me about this Twitter feed a while back and it has not let me down. On the nail political and cultural cracks that make me laugh and look really smart when I drop them around a dinner table full of adults. Dazzle your nerdy friends with wit; Wall Street is pretty hysterical.

It is the only one I actually make usable clips with, a real workhorse with all the right features and sounds. I can literally spend ten hours on it zoned into a beat.

Samantha Everton’s latest exhibition, Vintage Dolls, explores ‘history, race and culture through magic realism’. Of the series, Everton says: ‘I was inspired by the innocent act of children playing dress ups and the way they re-enact adult behaviour, concepts and themes, without preconceptions or judgement’. The show runs at the Dickerson Gallery, Melbourne, between March 4-22 and at the Dickerson Gallery in Sydney between April 1-19.

When my uber-creative and slightly eccentric twin brother announced one day that chainmail would be making a return, it only confirmed that he’d missed out on the fashion genes. But after checking out the fingerless chainmail glove in Toby Jones’ new collection — My hands are tied — it now appears he had a legitimate vision. Working a look straight out of a Mad Max scene, Jones’ designs will have us accessorizing in true post-apocalyptic style, using everyday objects as adornment. But you don’t need to be cruising around town in a black Interceptor to appreciate them. Be your own character with chain swinging padlocks and multi-purpose shoelaces. It’s about time you got your hands into something different.
