Conjoined twin sister musical act Evelyn Evelyn
Conjoined twin sister duo, Evelyn and Evelyn Neville, were born in a farm in the Kansas-Colorado border and have been touring all through North America. As very talented musicians, in their live performances they play their own instruments, sharing right and left sides. Their music is a compilation of various artists: Joy Division, Andrew Sisters, Belle and Sebastian and Theatre Musical.

Theatre of Life: brilliant improvisation by Nick and Beck
Two guys from the comedy group Good Neighbor sit in deck chairs in Venice Beach, giving voices to the stream of weird and interesting people that walk by. With just a camera and great improvisation, Theatre of Life, from comedians Nick and Beck, is one of the best shows on YouTube.
Fun summer video for Una Catarata de Caramelos
This is a perfect pre-summer video from Mariano Gilmore and Belle. I was honoured to be part of the creation of this video by invading sunny Buenos Aires with multi-coloured balloons, drinking a couple of cold cans of beer, and having a good reason to enjoy the city among friends and great music.

Black and white street photography by Severin Koller
When I saw his blog years ago, I was happy to find a young photographer that chooses to shoot with black and white film. And even more excited, when I found that he did it with a Leica, at the same moment I was studying about the Cartier-Bresson – Leica relationship. He says: ‘Knowing I have black-and-white film in my camera makes me shoot differently than I do with digital or color film’. Martin and Youle are British artists now based in Nantes, France. I got to know them through Hot Chip (Bevis is Felix Martin’s brother) and Charlie designed the cover for my first single (Nitemoves/Wallflowers). There’s a sense of play in their pieces, especially Pythagoras Table. I love the way they work with objects and expand on our assumed perceptions.
Fintan Magee’s graffiti-informed murals often feature animals, both real and stuffed, perched atop mountains of trash, a not-so-subtle comment on our relationship with nature. Read more

I’m enjoying the writing on the recently launched The Epi-Cure blog, which discusses the ‘latest scientific studies on health and nutrition’, and features interviews with ‘expert scientists, dieticians, and nutritionists’. The site’s founder and editor, Michelle Grey, also runs tasty, healthy recipes from New York chef Benjamin Towill, including today’s installment: Stuffed Zucchini Flowers [above]. Hmmm hmm. Read more
I’ve just come across the music of Minneapolis band Cloud Cult, and their song Chemicals Collide in particular. Their sound is a mix of scratchy acoustic guitar riffs mixed in with staccato beats and airy harmonies, all infused with a beautiful sense of lyrical melancholy. Read more
