I own three replicas of para-surrealist painter, Remedios Varo. All three paintings involve masks, secret identities and (depending on your take) hidden self-truths. If I could afford it, my entire house would be a gallery to this amazing artist often overshadowed Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and recently passed Leonora Carrington, all of whom Remedios met after fleeing occupied France in 1941 for Mexico City.
