Daniel Clowes’ graphic novel The Death Ray

I recently purchased and read Daniel Clowes’s newest graphic novel, The Death Ray. Clowes’s illustrations are beautifully clean and the story was fantastic, dealing with a super hero who is faced with very real and depressing issues.

Umshini Wam: a short film by Harmony Korine

I have to say Harmony Korine really outdid himself on this one. If you’re not familiar with Korine’s work on films such as Gummo, Trashhummpers, and Mister Lonely, then you’re missing out on some Grade A history-making. Umshini Wam is a short film featuring South African rappers Ninja and Yo Landi of the notorious group Die Antword.
