Lee Jeffries’s portraits of homeless people

Lee Jeffries began his career as a sports photographer in Manchester. But a chance meeting with a homeless girl living in the streets of London changed his life forever. Following this encounter, he decided to make a series of raw portraits of homeless in black and white. The result is absolutely stunning and compelling. Read more

Oreo cameo portraits by Judith Klausner

Judith Klausner has always enjoyed playing with her food and clearly finds inspiration in the most common ingredients and objects. Her Oreo cameo portraits are highly detailed and simply too pretty to be eaten.

Packaging design for gluten free pizza

Who says frozen pizza boxes can’t be creative? With slogans such as ‘Being cheesy is a good thing’ and ‘Don’t have a cow, literally’, Hornall Anderson took a fun approach with this new range of gluten free pizzas. So have a slice or two and don’t feel guilty.

We love the music of South African-born, London-based producer Mira Calix. It’s rustic, cerebral and slow-building, kinda like that first slither of daylight that stirs the morning heartbeat. We interviewed her recently about her new album, Eyes Set Against The Sun. Read more

I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the crystal craze. Crystals, like triangles, are ubiquitous these days as visual shorthand for something vaguely mystical. I love these Scilia rings from Five and Two because, rather than evoking the nurturing qualities of Mother Earth, they seem to have tumbled out of an acid nightmare future where everything is synthetic. An internet classic. I will always love this site. The best ones are the 13 year old kids with peacock blue hair dye who pose in front of the fireplace when their parents are on date night. I’m usually quite generous with my ratings. Read more

Wolf and Cub are back with a brand new single and after listening to it, I feel like I should be out in the streets, warning my neighbours of the apocalypse. The song is huge, forceful, damming and painfully exciting. Joel Byrne’s half-drawl, half-howl proclaims the end, while (in true Wolf and Cub) the drums are epic and unsettling. And then, that moment, the bass against the fading echoes. My heart broke and my brain exploded. It’s too much to take. This band will be the death of me.

Derrick R. Cruz has channeled his talent for creating densely detailed works into the creation of the brand Black Sheep and Prodigal Sons. Fuelled by the New York city art and fashion scene, Cruz’s pieces are timeless but relevant, and beautifully detailed in their imperfections. They combine gold, silver, resin and bronze to create dark but wearable art.

Mixing the feel of British spy meets Russian guard meets 60s Madison Avenue, we love the utilitarian sexy style that is Client. This UK-based clothing line has taken the idea of ‘uniform’ and put their own modern twist on it. They also embrace sustainability with their pieces, and adhere to strict local and made to order manufacturing. Select Client outwear is available for purchase in the Lost At E Minor Store Read more
