Loch Ness

Loch Ness is a freelance illustrator who takes inspiration from comic art, graffiti and music, especially from the 60s and the psychedelic era. His work is prominent amongst the Bristol urban art scene. I love his comic-like characters, his work overflowing with imagination bursting with so much content your mind is sent into another dimension.

Video for Brand New: Sic Transit Gloria … Glory Fades

Brand New are one of my favourite bands. I have followed them for many years and watched their music evolve. I had the pleasure of interviewing them many years ago when I studied at university and did band reviews for the paper. Since then, their music has continually diversified.

Kid Robot Swatch Watch

On a recent trip to New York I became the proud owner of a kid robot swatch watch designed by Frank Kozik. There are eight artists in this kid robot collection: Tara Mcpherson, Gary Baseman, Joe Ledbetter, Jeremyville, SSUR Ruslan Karablin, Tilt, MAD, and Frank Kozik. With each watch you get your own little dunny, also designed by the artist. With the Frank Kozik watch, you pay a little extra and you get a big dunny with your watch.

I’ve been waiting for a group like this. These New Puritans are balls in your face, 100 miles an hour, pure attack! A young British group that has most of the UK press in the palm of their skinny pale hands, they hint at a sonic mash of Bloc Party mixed with what White Rose Movement were supposed to be. What more could you want?

Listen to the These New Puritans track, Elvis.
