Lost At E Minor sponsors community mural in Newcastle

Here at Lost At E Minor, we love to get involved and help the community whenever we can. That’s why we sponsored this fantastic mural near our Newcastle office by local artist UMPEL. The hypercolour graffiti art was organised by Simone Sheridan, who runs a business focused on beautifying derelict urban spaces whilst reducing graffiti vandalism through creative interventions such as street art. The Art of The Brick: three dimensional LEGO sculptures

Nathan Sawaya’s newest collection is currently showing at Sydney’s Town Hall. The exhibition, The Art of The Brick, runs until February 5 and showcases his three dimensional LEGO sculptures and over-sized portraits. Sawaya’s largest sculpture is a dinosaur skeleton measuring about 20 meters long. It took him a whole Summer to complete. Read more

I got to check out Extra Golden the other night at the Floristree in the H & H Building in downtown Baltimore. Despite a bill of heady, contemplative, experimental music that preceded the DC-based band, the crowd was chomping at the bit to see them when they finally hit the stage well past 1am. It’s still cold and rainy here in Charm City, but these guys made it feel like summer with their sunny blend of Kenyan benga music and guitar-driven psych rock.

Paulina Bojór mixes a timeless earthiness with sculptor. She grew up in the Polish Peoples Republic and there she began by embellishing old clothes, experimenting with bright colours and the avant-garde.
