Australian soul singer Alphamama

Boasting a combination of urban soul, electric, pop and reggae, Australian artist Alphamama encompasses a Queendom quality that will mesmerize and energize. With her ability to hit notes like a soul Mama, then just as easily rip into a Hip Hop beat with an impressive rap, Alphamama possesses fearless versatility. She releases her album, Truths, Trips and Revelations, at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on March 7.

Australian hip hop artist Iggy Azalea

At first glance, Australian hip hop artist Iggy Azalea seems like the typical girl next door. That is, if the girl next door could write and rap rhymes like the kids in the big league. At just 21, Azalea isn’t just a pretty face. She recently dropped her free to download mixtape, Ignorant Art and there’s no doubt the rapper will be joining the rest of the women making their mark on this formerly male dominated genre.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Halloween Challenge to the parents of America

With Halloween just passed, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel put out a challenge to all parents of America to deliver the ultimate Halloween trick to their kids: telling their children the day after Halloween that they had eaten all of their hard earned candy. Oh, and to video the reaction, of course! What sounds like a cruel joke is all forgotten when you’re laughing at the unpredictable and sometimes adorable reactions. I know I wouldn’t have handled it well.
