One Year Walk/Beard Grow time lapse video
Lately, I’ve found myself connected to stories of men and nature: I read and saw 127 Hours, Into the Wild, and more recently The Longest Way, a video made by German student Christoph Rehage. His original plan was to walk from Beijing to Germany, but he only ended up doing 4646km in China. His video was part of Destination X, an exhibition about people’s motivation to move around at the Museum of World Culture.

Conjoined twin sister musical act Evelyn Evelyn
Conjoined twin sister duo, Evelyn and Evelyn Neville, were born in a farm in the Kansas-Colorado border and have been touring all through North America. As very talented musicians, in their live performances they play their own instruments, sharing right and left sides. Their music is a compilation of various artists: Joy Division, Andrew Sisters, Belle and Sebastian and Theatre Musical.
Theatre of Life: brilliant improvisation by Nick and Beck
Two guys from the comedy group Good Neighbor sit in deck chairs in Venice Beach, giving voices to the stream of weird and interesting people that walk by. With just a camera and great improvisation, Theatre of Life, from comedians Nick and Beck, is one of the best shows on YouTube.
Fun summer video for Una Catarata de Caramelos
This is a perfect pre-summer video from Mariano Gilmore and Belle. I was honoured to be part of the creation of this video by invading sunny Buenos Aires with multi-coloured balloons, drinking a couple of cold cans of beer, and having a good reason to enjoy the city among friends and great music.

Named after the first openly gay politician in US history, Harvey Milk make some rather testosterone-heavy tunes. While appealing mostly to the stoner-rock and indie-metal set, the quintet from Athens, Georgia, aren’t afraid of a little melody, as the almost pop track Motown on their latest album, Life … the Best Game in Town, proves. But more often than not, the band gets down and dirty with some knuckle-dragging sludge rock. Amid the haze of searing guitar squeals, menacing power chords, and seismic bass rumbling, though, are some almost math-rock flourishes that hint at the brains behind the brawn.
New York-based eco-line Loomstate create the coolest tees made of organic cotton. Each printed t-shirt not only celebrates nature but is stylishly crafted, with contrasting stitching coupled with signature twisted side seams for a sleek fit. My favourite is the Seabra design [pictured below]. And, boys, don’t fret because Loomstate cater for males, too. Read more
