Jimmy Kimmel’s Halloween Challenge to the parents of America
With Halloween just passed, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel put out a challenge to all parents of America to deliver the ultimate Halloween trick to their kids: telling their children the day after Halloween that they had eaten all of their hard earned candy. Oh, and to video the reaction, of course! What sounds like a cruel joke is all forgotten when you’re laughing at the unpredictable and sometimes adorable reactions. I know I wouldn’t have handled it well.

Australian hip hop artist Iggy Azalea
At first glance, Australian hip hop artist Iggy Azalea seems like the typical girl next door. That is, if the girl next door could write and rap rhymes like the kids in the big league. At just 21, Azalea isn’t just a pretty face. She recently dropped her free to download mixtape, Ignorant Art and there’s no doubt the rapper will be joining the rest of the women making their mark on this formerly male dominated genre.

Yellow Fever are a great duo from Austin that harkens back to the girl-fronted indie bands of the 90s. At times Breeders-ish, at others referencing garag-y sounds from other eras, their simple and heartfelt songs remind us of why we all thought mismatched Converse and unkempt androgyny was so cool in the first place.
