My new body of work is concerns beauty and dealing with looking and being looked at. Five out of twenty six paintings are finished as I aim for a particular narrative within the series as a whole. Read more

Edward Kim’s Basketball art series

I’ve found his paintings to be utterly spiritual. In particular, his basketball body of work. The work deals with ritualistic ceremonies that are causally present within each sporting event; alongside the idolization of particular sport players or items.

Satirical and sexually charged comic art by Tina Lugo

I’ve found her work to be incredibly satirical, sexual, and often quite creepy. Comic, TV and other various pop culture characters are thrown into peculiar situations, generally ending on a sexually covered satirical note. Read more

This statement from Team Genius leader Drew Hermiller was the jumping off point in the creation of the band’s debut self-titled full-length album, one of the most interesting and eclectic pop records of the year. ‘Basically it’s a reaction to the modern way music is consumed and listened to’, Hermiller says. ‘The idea of an album with a focused sound and a complete statement kind of gets lost now-a-days. Everyone shuffles around, so I thought “why not write an album that does the same thing?” Luckily, the band did an awesome job of keeping up with it’.
