Tropa Macaca perform at Mostra de Musica Experimental
It’s been almost three weeks since I last saw Tropa Macaca live, and i’m still stunned! After a great record for Siltbreeze (Sensação do Principio) and a European tour with the mighty Blues Control, all back in 2009, the duo went through a two year period of almost no public activity, only to re-emerge now on the eve of what seems to be an amazing new record. This is vibrant music happening now.

Insight 51 Garage Artists t-shirts
I first came across Insight 51′s Garage Artists t-shirt series not long ago when I stumbled upon the first Guido Crepax tee they put out. Being a Crepax fan, this was a huge one for me. Since then I’ve came to know and follow through them some awesome artists like Julien Langendorff, Madsaki, (fellow Portuguese photographer) Pedro Rodrigues Ramos, and Hisham Akira Bharoocha from Black Dice and Soft Circle fame. Great work, Steve Gorrow.

Forming: a new comic book by Jesse Moynihan
Book wise, this is one of this year’s highlights for me. To be able to grab my printed copy of this cosmic-mythological comic book that started as a weekly website feature. Beautifully done by London’s Nobrow Press, this was worth the wait. Jesse Moynihan is a fantastic creator of worlds. Read more

The scientists explored the surface of our moon until they stood facing the foreboding presence of The Lunar Crystal. The two men stood in awe of the crystal’s existence. They stared without tact; oblivious to the inquisitive voices on the other end of their earpieces.

The newest giclee print from Rebel Unlit, Inquiry into Jellyfish, is an adventure in mixed media. We love the subtleties of this piece, which could be missed at first glance: the transparencies, the color distress, the foreground texture. We’re also a pretty big fan of that jellyfish. Inspired by Haruki Murakami’s The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, this limited-edition piece is printed on cotton matt archival 310gsm paper and is available now in the Lost At E Minor online store.
