Blue Forest is a company that specializes in building eco-friendly, luxury tree-houses. I have no hope of ever affording one of these, but I hope someone in my life will get one so that I can hang out in it all the time.

Nice idea. A childhood dream in a luxury reality. But which occurs with the house, if the tree or the trees dies or its trunk grows – which is completely natural?

Because everything lives forever? With proper knowledge and skilled craftsmanship there isn’t any harm to the tree. In fact, most trees thrive quite well even with a treehouse in it, given proper care and consideration. About as eco-friendly living as it ever gets with an excellent view and natural company! If the tree dies the house will have to be taken down of course. As would any “normal” house exhibiting deteriorating foundations… And since we’re speaking of natural lifecycles, treehouses don’t leave such harsh (and often permanent) remnant marks in the ground and/or irreparable damage to the rock when they have been torn down. Something other buildings more often than not, do.
