A website dedicated to J.M.Barrie: father of Peter Pan
I’ve always liked the Peter Pan story, and I’ve always wondered what his voice could have sounded like. I’ll never find that out, but on this website dedicated to the genius who gave birth to Peter Pan, you can hear the splendid tone of his voice. I’m already hearing children chattering and gnashing their little pearls at me.

Kareen Zerefos is an impressive illustrator. I like her style, I like her subjects, I like the way she uses traditional skills associated with modern techniques. But more than all this, I like her because she is a daydreamer.

I really love the aesthetic of Lars Henkel. This talented illustrator can use a wide range of media: from drawings to collage through video and photography, always keeping his suggestive poetry and touch. Read more
Django Reinhardt: J’attendrai Swing (1939)
I’m really diigging this cover of the everlasting song, J’attendrai, made by Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club of France. This is an old clip that promoted his wonderful music.

A survey of two thousand Britons has revealed the country’s perfect pet. Max is a bizarre hybrid that is part cat, part dog, part rabbit and part horse. I haven’t bought a CD in a while but I was strolling down Wellington’s Cuba Street looking for a bit of inspiration the other day when Liam Finn’s music tapped me politely on the shoulder and dragged me into the music store. Liam is New Zealand music royalty, of Neil Finn descent, although — with his wild hair and beard — he’s looking a bit more like a young Jesus these days. The record is made with the help of an analogue loop machine, and you’ll find the kind of stunning instrumental crescendos that I haven’t heard since The Beatles Hey Jude. He engages emotionally and spontaneously, with both skill and showmanship.
