This mid-length documentary by John Rogers about British ‘deep topographer’, Nick Papadimitriou really moved me. I’ve been both intrigued by the potential of psychogeography and put off by all its obtuse, pseudo-intellectual trappings. But Nick Papadimitriou transcends the bullshit.
He walks around London, spouting brilliant observations about everyday phenomena like some urban David Attenborough on acid. Like any good documentary, the story eventually twists inward, and we explore interior Nick, even as he explores exterior London.
