James Mollison’s Where Children Sleep series
James Mollison is Kenyan born artist who grew up in England. His new work, entitled Where Children Sleep, is an introspective look at the lives and culture of children from around the world as told through a series of portraits of each child and a photograph of their bedroom. The artist says: ‘I found myself thinking about my bedroom, how significant it was during my childhood, and how it reflected what I had and who I was’.

Lucia Vergara’s Cosmic Ice-Cream jewelry series
Lucia Vergara’s jewelry is super cool but I absolutely flipped for her Cosmic Ice-Creams series. These gorgeous triangular necklaces are bold in shape yet delicate in workmanship and color. The solid pastel pieces are accented with a beautiful array of textures, iridescent colors and glitter. They are suspended by a refined and vintage looking chain that adds to their delicious beauty.

The incredible wood masks of A.J. Fosik
At first glance, A.J. Fosik’s animal head sculptures look as if they were made of simple paper, when in actuality each is made of wood, carved and colored in vibrant shades of green, blue, red and pinks. Each has its own energy, power and intricacies that envelope and hypnotize the viewer. Read more

There is an indescribable joy I get from Danny Gibson’s work. His art often appears to be a loose assemblage of gems found from the gutter, warmed twice over with markers, paint, stencils and colored tape. Whatever the case, there is no mistaking the passion and care he has for his little Frankensteins.

Channeling Justin Timberlake and Alan Vega, or both or neither, Spanish Dancer is on his own axis, spinning to the BPM of a lost drum. At one point, between moving back and forth between Providence, Rhode Island and Miami, Florida, he discovered punk and his uncle bought him a ratty 50 dollar Cruise VMI guitar to mess around with. Subsequently, Spanish Dancer material is a little snarky, self-aware, and fun, while still retaining all the complex spastic freakout moments of his prior band, A Trillion Barnacle Lapse. His debut album, Burned Up, Bred High, is out now and we have the lead single, The Hustler [listen below], available for free download via the Music Download section of the Lost At E Minor site.
