I recently came across a fantastic band called Telafonica. I love their music as it has a real grit about it. Starting as a duo, the group has evolved into a complex web of permanent and transient members, along with a handful of regular contributers spread across the globe.

I have had the great pleasure in meeting Eddie Zammit, who runs the only T-shirt journal in existence — known as T-world. Their new eddition travels to the Empire State. Milton Glaser’s tourist campaign logo (I Love NY) turned souvenir t shirt graphic sums up the feelings T-world has for the most ambitious city of them all. Read more

His name is Marshall. At just over 8 months old, you don’t need to be clucky to appreciate his outfits: from Baby Gap to Cheap Monday, and sometimes not much more than a cheeky grin. This bub oozes charisma and his clothes suit him to a tee (pun intended).

Driven by a wide spectrum of influences, the music of Brass Bed moves easily through an eclectic mix of genres: from alt-country ballads and progressive rock hooks, to sticky-sweet, heart-felt lyrics, and dissonant experimental freak-outs. As some wise folk have noted, it’s kinda like a cross between The Beach Boys and The Flaming Lips. Now, how could that be a bad thing? We have two of their songs — Olivia [listen below] and Polar Bird — available for free download in the Music Download section in the third column of Lost At E Minor.

A former interior decorator known for her clever use of colour, Dyment’s jewelry designs are informed by the same colourful aesthetic. Brooklyn-based Polaroid artist Matt Schwartz, from She Hit Pause Studios, has been photographing his whimsical images of girls, surf culture and vintage finds for the past eight years. Schwartz takes large format Polaroids, pulls apart the film, and then rubs the negative onto watercolor paper. Read more
