Mascaradas: a colorful new typeface by Monfa
Mascaradas is a colorful typeface by the Costa Rican illustrator, Monfa and based on the traditional Costa Rican Parade. While some of the giant, dancing characters might look scary at first look, the great amount of detail and patterns reveals not only the culture of this country but the cuteness around their shapes.

This might have been happening for a while now on the Internet, but it still puts a smile on my face every time I look at them. As far as I’m concerned, it all started on a forum thread in 2008, but people keep uploading more and more pictures everyday. You’ve got to love them. Read more

The uber-hip French producer M83 has compiled a Secret Playlist for us in which he props Brian Eno, Julee Cruise, and Tears For Fears’ Head Over Heels: ‘This song was the biggest influence for my new album.
