Animated puppetry style video for new Snorkel single
by The Deadskin video was made by a friend of ours, Shaw Petronio. He has previously made videos for the band Sparks and Ben was involved in the live VJing performance on some of their tours. With a nod to Terry Gilliam, Shaw uses a cut-up animated puppetry style against a backdrop of film collage to convey an alienated souls’ indifference to a major catastrophe.

Denseland’s album Chunk is one of the most impressive to these ears in recent years. They are trio made up of David Moss, Hannes Srobl, and Hanno Leichtmann. Moss is familiar through his work with John Zorn and other ‘downtown players’ during the 80s and early 90s in New York and this recording carries strong traces of this DNA, blended with a kind of post Can/Czukay sound/rhythm world.
