Gojin Ishihara

I love the illustrations in these 1970s children’s books by Gojin Ishihara (aka ‘Japan’s Norman Rockwell’). These surreal images are synonymous to a B-movie in their campiness yet antonymous in their attention to detail.

New printmaking series by Wesley McClain

This series began as an exploration into what I could express within the limitations of the printmaking process. I found that I was making a series without intending to: observing people together but detached, trying to catch a moment that I could relate to. Awesome remixes paired with visuals by StewRat

Ryan Stewart’s remixes are addictive. These tracks will lead you into a daze where all other music tastes bland in comparison. He pairs his music with mesmerizing video montages from films like Inception and The Fall, and damn are they cool.

Bringing statistics to life is not particularly easy, but this website does so with a creative brilliance. Using interactive animation and videos, you can look at a wide ranging set of sustainable global development data as the numbers change across space and and time. It promotes a statistically-founded world view, and somehow makes that fun.

TheStar69 track So What Is The News is the very personification of great pop. In fact, it takes bits and pieces of the best music the The Cult, Hall & Oates and The Steve Miller Band ever recorded and messes it up with a well-honed, Scottish sense of mischief. We like.
