For Lovers Only: a new film directed by Michael Polish
For Lovers Only is a new film starring Stana Katic and writer Mark Polish, and directed by twin brother Michael Polish. In the vein of French New Wave, dialogue becomes inferior to the visual. The film has received much online praise and successfully pulls the viewer into the intimacy.

“In the vein of the French New Wave”? This trailer looks like a TV commercial with all its cliches. Where are the real characters? It’s more like substance becomes inferior to the superficial.

Cam: just because a lot of commercials used the visual world of the French New Wave it doesn’t make the source superficial. See the movie, don’t judge by the trailer. But if you don’t know nothing about that style, perhaps look after first – you have to be open to a different kind of storytelling than today’s trend to enjoy it.

Thanks Laszlo, but I’m not going to see a film that turns me off, that’s what trailers are for oui? I’m a big fan of Godard but he had a political edge, these characters seem lost in their own narcissism and appear irrelevant to life outside their own sexiness (unless it’s an investigation of love and desire a la George Bataille). Maybe I may have missed the point – but again, why doesn’t the trailer communicate this?
