Chris Burden’s Metropolis II: four years in the making

Chris Burden, the artist famous for once crucifying himself to a Volkswagen, has spent the past four years working on a huge kinetic sculpture called Metropolis II, which is a comment on the age of the automobile. You can view it this fall at the Los Angeles Country Museum of Art.
