Del Maguey: a 100 percent agave mezcal
Del Maguey is made in remote parts of Oaxaca, Mexico, and only in limited quantities. There are just a handful of villages that produce this 100 percent agave mezcal, and each is named after the village from which it comes. Del Maguey also happens to be the only mezcal that is certified organic. Find it, sip it.

First feature length film to be made entirely on an iPhone
A ‘ketamine classic’, Adam Green has said of his movie. However it’s much more than that. This is a meta-comedy about turning 30, with rainbow glimpses of deep human insight, starring Macaulay Culkin and Green himself. The Wrong Ferrari is the first feature length film to be made entirely on an iPhone. Watch this movie in the dark, with friends and a fine bottle of mezcal. Read more

Bringing statistics to life is not particularly easy, but this website does so with a creative brilliance. Using interactive animation and videos, you can look at a wide ranging set of sustainable global development data as the numbers change across space and and time. It promotes a statistically-founded world view, and somehow makes that fun.
It’s pretty bold to release a 25 track double CD as your first album, but singer-songwriter Benji Hughes doesn’t care. Themes of love and heartbreak run though the album and his folk-tinged pop draws comparisons to Beck, The Eels and The Magnetic Fields. [portrait by Vanessa Prager]

This website was created by a lobby group which is funded by Coca-Cola, Monsanto, Tyson, and other agribusinesses, and they’ve done a lot of campaigning against activist groups like PETA and the CDC. (They’re also behind those ridiculous “high fructose corn syrup is good for you” ads.) I’d recommend consulting the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch or the Environmental Defense Fund for more trustworthy info on seafood contaminants.
