Mike Maxwell
Southern California artist Mike Maxwell does not trust the five senses; he doesn’t believe in what he can see, smell, touch, listen or taste. He only believes in ideas.
Ideas of a genealogical past, quantum physics, psycodelia, shamanism, and what is out there that cannot be seen. His quantive portraits of American steampunks bearded men retell a past future story of a time of exploration, of what is or what might be. When he is not searching, he is interviewing on his podcast the raddest artists out there.

Turista Libre: a series of atypical day tours in Tijuana

Despite their over-the-top rockisms (ridiculously monstrous rigs, smoke machines, and high-wattage light show), Jucifer backs the bombast up with some colon-bursting heaviness. The duo from Athens, Gergia, take 90s-era grrl rawk and combines it with slow, plodding, sludge metal like High on Fire on Vicodin.
