A friend showed me this and now it is a staple of inside jokes between myself and a half-dozen friends. The bare-naked want of this dog for his bacon is a metaphor for this cruel world’s naked soul, starved for oil, drugs, and sex. In the metaphor, to my girlfriend’s telling, she is the bacon.
