On An Overgrown Path is my favorite music blog. I hear a lot of people lamenting the state of the music industry: from sales to labels, bands and performers. Few folks seem as energized by music as the blog’s author, Bob Shingleton, a former EMI exec.
On An Overgrown Path tackles big boys all the time (I wouldn’t want to work at the BBC), but for the most part he’s into connecting the dots. He seems like the quiet, well-adjusted guy at a party, pleasant enough, who actually just got back from a week in a Buddhist temple in France where he had hot wax poured on his genitals four times a day in order to cleanse his chi. That’s my kind of guy.
