The Clock is a 24 hour long film by Christian Marclay that was just purchased by LACMA. The movie is made up of shots from hundreds of movies edited together to show the passage of time.

It plays in real time, with shots of clocks that reflect the actual current time as you watch. Through seamless editing, Marclay somehow makes the mishmash of a film compelling and suspenseful. At the screening, the crowd erupted in laughter and applause several times during the 30 minutes I watched.
