Heroes and Villains: portrait photos of artists

Heroes & Villains is the brainchild of photographers, Tatiana Wills and Roman Cho. For the past six years, they’ve been hopping around taking pictures of up-and-coming as well as established artists with the goal of capturing the personality of each artist in their portraits. Every photo is unique and beautiful and It’s nice to see the faces behind the canvases.

Kane and Unke shirt collaboration with Nate Frizzell

MakerBot: a new 3D printer model

MakerBot just unveiled their new 3D printer model with a bigger print surface and the ability to print two colors at the same time. At $2,000 it’s not quite in everyones price range but if you’ve got the cabbage, how awesome would it be to have this new toy on your desktop?

I love the work of Sydney graffiti and stencil artist Emily Hasselhoof. Bold, bright and bizarre, her images are like the dreams of a serial tripper. Evil little girls dressed in fluorescent garb commit unspeakable acts while green rabbits are devoured by sharks and odd little ponies masquerade as equine medusas. Hasselhoof regularly exhibits around town. I caught her show at Ruban Rat in Newtown last year where I was blown away by her fantastic use of colour. Read more
