The awesome, mind-bending website of WU LYF
This band is really cool. The way they have constructed their image is so meticulous and an art in itself. Their website is crazy worth looking at. Really well done.

A visual guide to new Papa Vs Pretty album
The thing I spent a lot of time on recently was the LP for our latest album. I figured it would be really cool to make an LP that was very different. So I was lucky enough to pair up with JP from a company called Vertpixles, who’ve done LPs for Joy Division, Gorrilaz’s Plastic Beach and Grinderman, too. Read more
The Odd Future Tumblr is amazing. My favorite things are the Thurnis Haley videos: ‘I live golf, I breath golf, I eat golf’, and so on. It’s so good. The amount of stuff these guys have put out is insane. Tyler The Creator’s GOBLIN record seems really cool, too.
Bright Eyes: The Peoples Key (full album stream)
I love Bright Eyes. The new album is real cool and they did an excellent stream with this camera shot in this room. Good listen and watch. It has this great intro about some reptilian conspiracy thing. The guy chats about it for a while to this crazy synth ambience. Pretty scary, really.

A gingerbread house sitting on the lip of a hot cup of tea is a comforting and aesthetic treat for any kind of winter blues. Megan, or Not Martha, came up with this very cute idea and on her site she shows people how to create their very own edible cup architecture.
Though artistic genres from the last couple centuries inform Marc Burckhardt’s style, he is not a period fetishist. The playful way in which he incorporates visual jokes and modern themes has a simplicity to it, making each of his images self-contained and elegant. Read more

Ever tried to imagine what an artist looks like based on their artwork? I was asked to be involved in this Australia-based project by Anna Brown, where she photographs comic artists and then presents the work next to a portrait of the artist in their own comic form. Read more
The frontman for Sydney trailblazers, Paper Scissors, has just dropped his first solo EP under the alias of Pork Pies, and it’s an absolute beaut. Like the Paper Scissors’ more low-key numbers, there’s a real feeling of raw nostalgia running through the record. Jai Pyne’s distinctive vocals linger on your eardrums for a while after they’ve ceased, anchored down by a poignancy and sense of longing.

You’d be hard-pressed finding a designer with a more impressive background than Jessie Hill. While most of us were waiting to outgrow our awkward teenage years, she was already on her way to Los Angeles. Leaving her Sydney home at just seventeen to pursue her love of fashion, it wasn’t long before Jessie Hill made a name for herself, styling cool kids like No Doubt and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
