Right now, I’m getting ready for the June 7 release of my new record, The Jessamine County Book of the Living [listen to the first track off it below], and looking forward to getting in the van and touring the US for the next three months. I’ve also been having a lot of fun making costumes and props, shooting and editing, and collaborating with several video artists to make videos for a bunch of the songs on the record. Also, I invented a new musical genre with my friend Kyp today: ‘survival folk’. It’s when you write a song on the mandolin while you get mauled by a mountain lion.
