Scary Dollhouses by Marc Giai-Miniet

French artist Marc Giai-Miniet makes creepy, incredibly intricate dollhouses. I don’t think they’re creepy, as most other bloggers have stated, I think they’re actually pretty cool.

Australian label Sass and Bide

If I had to choose one label to wear for the rest of my life, it would be Sass & Bide. Take at look at their latest collection, Boogie and the History Maker, on the runway at London Fashion Week and you’ll see what I mean. Read more

Swimsuits by Australian label Zimmermann

You’ve got to love a label that releases a new swimwear collection every few months. Just as we’re heading into winter here in Australia, Zimmermann has to go and tease us with a smoking hot lookbook for their Autumn/Winter 2011 Cruise Collection. If I wasn’t already in denial about the end of summer, I certainly am now. Shot on the impossibly white sand of Hyams Beach by Aussie photographer Roger Deckker, the campaign is much grittier than the glamourous and polished shoots we’re used to seeing from Zimmermann. Jonathan Bergeron (aka Johnny Crap)

Jonathan Bergeron, also known as Johnny Crap, does shirts and merch for horrible bands such as Escape the Fate and Avenged Sevenfold, but he’s got skills, so I won’t hold it against him. His ink drawings look like wood-block prints with their detail and precision. Read more

At times it might be rude and crude, but no matter what your taste, if you have even a bit of a sense of humour, Natalie Dee will make you laugh, if not cringe or just softly chuckle at her cartoons. They may seem like simple drawings at first, but look a little closer, and these friendly penguins and gossip girls are full of personality. Read more

Here’s a pretty spot-on map of what movies best represent each state. I think it’s pretty hilarious that Delaware gets Wayne’s World because of one line in the movie. Are there any movies that take place in Delaware that you can think of? What a forgotten state.

The Hatton hotel epitomises Melbourne cool. Those who value design, location, and luxury will find The Hatton the perfect Melbourne base. Read more

Who wants to be famous? A lot of people, that’s for sure. And the first ones are the mothers of little American girls.
High Glitz: The extravagant world of Child Beauty Pageants shows images of the children that take part in the different beauty contests around America, bursting as they are with extravagant haircuts, haute-couture dresses, false teeth and all the artificial beauty that you can imagine. Read more

I almost forgot — metal is really about being drunk, pissed, offensive, and satanic. I have Bestial Mockery to thank for this. Their no-frills black thrash is barebones and snarling without being too dead-pan serious. These guys from Sweden are clearly having a blast worshiping the Dark One in the tradition of old-school bands like Venom, early Bathory, and Sodom. Nothing too original here, but it’s fun as hell.

From this artist selection of t-shirts comes this Christina Koustospirou illustration, silkscreened on a limited edition t-shirt, and distributed in a vinyl sleeve, with a biography of the artist on the back of the sleeve. Every t-shirt is numbered and signed by the artist, and comes in organic cotton.
