Channel101: created by the DIY LA community
If I were looking for the next Andy Samberg, I’d be watching the shit on Channel101, which is where he came from. I still cherish and quote jokes from the short lived series House of Cosbys [watch below] and Yacht Rock [watch below], both of which were created by members of the DIY LA community behind this website. Those two shows are old now but still funny.

Mitch Hedberg’s stand up comedy
I continue to be surprised by friends and acquaintances who are unfamiliar with Mitch Hedberg’s stand up comedy. He’s fuckin’ hilarious and original! Love the way he talks.
Inside Job: a documentary you must see
I recently watched the movie Inside Job twice in a row. It’s about the sub-prime mortgage debacleoo [sic]. It made me feel really sad. Very informative. These financial servicers robbed the entire world!

Tyler the Creator is an exciting and interesting character these days. He is a rapper and producer, but his art isn’t really the point. The point is that he feels like the most incendiary and volatile personality since Kurt Cobain. His new record, Goblin, is out on XL Recordings.

Milwaukee’s Neon Hunk make spastic, synth-and-drum madness that is likely to trigger seizures in the uninitiated. Their psychotic, candy-colored aesthetic — complete with terrifying masks and stuffed animals — gives no quarter to the faint of heart, but for those whose retinas and ear canals are sufficiently fortified with scar tissue, the duo’s glitched-out dance attack should provide ample cause to bounce around.
