Federico Uribe
Much like Tom Friedman, Colombian-born, Miami-based artist Federico Uribe uses every day objects and unexpected but readily available materials – pennies, shoelaces, warped records: to create elaborate conceptual sculptures. Uribe’s work, however, is more representational and overtly narrative, touching on themes of war, poverty, industrial excess, and his Catholic upbringing.
