The Hipster Trap
What would it take to ensnare a Williamsburg hipster? Not much, by the looks of it. Jeff Greenspan and Hunter Fine have set up a series of Hipster Traps in Manhattan and Brooklyn, with some sure-fire lures to entice even the most wary of tattooed baristas. The bait? A Holga 120N camera, some fluoro sunglasses, a yellow bicycle chain, a can of PBR, and a pack of American Spirits. Damn, I’m getting tempted myself.

It’s not new. The hipster trap is like 2 weeks old.

sigh. here we go again: hipsters.
plus, I bet you money that these art installation “traps” are never ever actually left out on the street! they’re just there for the 2 minute photo op, then they are boxed up and sent back to the gallery for hipsters to buy.
I get so tired of this fly by the seat of your pants “art” that seems to be intended strictly for the 3 second internet meme effect. it’s been how many years of the web now? and this is what we do with it?

@mazigazi
amen I totally like your point and take and I agree. then again the fact that I’ve been sitting here looking at eye candy and dumb art and rad foods for like an hour I must ask one, what is the internet for?
