Ian Ingram

In our saturated world, much detail is lost among the trivialities. Not so with Ian Ingram’s work. I recently came across his hyper-realistic, painstaking self-portraits while visiting Austin Museum of Art’s 22 Artists to Watch exhibit.

His brave foray into pinnacle life moments were raw and beautiful. He combines intense skill at recreating himself with a multi-media approach that puts you right there in his life story. He made me want to go home and draw. With much humility, of course.
