Hendrix portrait made from 5,000 guitar plectrums

I wonder how many guitar picks Jimi Hendrix used while he was alive? Probably not the 5,000 it took Ed Chapman, a notable British mosaic artist, to put this plectrum portrait together. It recently sold for £23,000, which will be used for cancer research.
