During my recent time in New Orleans, I got to see in person the amazing piece by public installation artist Candy Chang called Before I Die, installed on the side of an abandoned house in the Marigny neighborhood. It invites passers by to fill in the blanks with what they’d like to do before they die. One of them read “live in New Orleans,” which I can definitely relate to.
