Explore art in 3D virtual galleries

Artsteps is a web-based environment that allows its members to create virtual art galleries in lifelike 3D spaces. It’s a way for artists, art organizations and art enthusiasts to model actual or virtual exhibitions by designing realistic three-dimensional room complexes. Virtual exhibitions can be explored on the Artsteps website or can be embedded on any web page, site or blog. They can also be rated, discussed and shared through a multitude of options, including posting on popular social sites.

Traktor: new single from Swedish folk-pop group Francis

This Swedish folk-pop group has released an EP, This Must Be Blood, featuring Traktor [above], among other gems. They’ve been on the circuit since 2006, with their live performance being described on Last.fm as ‘an unleashed Tasmanian Devil singing heartbreaking gospelsongs’. Fun.

My parents are huge Beatles fans, much like many other people of their generation, and I wish I had enough money to get them this Beatles magnetic hair game. Of course, knowing my mom, who is a cake decorator, she would get icing and chocolate all over it.

Recently formed hip-hop duo, Rootbeer (Pigeon John and Flynn Adam), have just dropped a super fresh piece of audio pie right in your kitchen. Influenced by artists such as MGMT, N.E.R.D and A Tribe Called Quest, Rootbeer offer up an edgy and unfeigned lyrical style. Turn up their debut release, The Pink Limousine EP, to eleven. You’ll find it impossible not to make shapes.

This is Australian fashion designer Emma Mulholland’s second collection ever (if you count her graduation show) and she has pulled it together like a pro. The colourful collection makes strong references to surf culture and throws in touches of rave, tribal and psychedelic influences. Read more
