Loopita: new armchair design by Victor Aleman
Victor Aleman, a talented designer originally from Mexico, has joined the Kerozene Design Team. After more than three years of development and tests, this is his one-of-a-kind armchair. You can use it to talk face-to-face or wrap it around itself, like a giant shell that can also accommodate your friends.

Surfing at Rhossili Beach in Wales
Most don’t think of Wales as a surfing destination. In fact, most people don’t think of Wales at all. But the dramatic cliffs and breathtaking scenery that surround Rhossili Beach create a ‘surf sweet spot’, making this travel destination alluring to both surfers and nature-lovers alike. Read more
Traktor: new single from Swedish folk-pop group Francis
This Swedish folk-pop group has released an EP, This Must Be Blood, featuring Traktor [above], among other gems. They’ve been on the circuit since 2006, with their live performance being described on Last.fm as ‘an unleashed Tasmanian Devil singing heartbreaking gospelsongs’. Fun.

New spray paint and charcoal artwork by Steve Smid
I love this work by Steve Smid. It’s a vibrant cocktail mix of charcoal, oils, spray paint, stencil, and permanent markers, with an obviously deliberate delivery. Read more

What would it take to ensnare a Williamsburg hipster? Not much, by the looks of it. Jeff Greenspan and Hunter Fine have set up a series of Hipster Traps in Manhattan and Brooklyn, with some sure-fire lures to entice even the most wary of tattooed baristas. The bait? A Holga 120N camera, some fluoro sunglasses, a yellow bicycle chain, a can of PBR, and a pack of American Spirits. Damn, I’m getting tempted myself. Read more

Cheese and Burger a great site to check out, with about 30 different burger options. Here you can find a selection of States with different burger recipes from each, along with a voiceover of a man who sounds like Mike Buffer. Fun.
You know that band you’ve always wanted to form, the one with the little-girl-lost singer with the mischevious eyes and the propulsive beats that drive bass hooks so catchy you want to bottle them up and sell them to Sting? That’s right, that fictional band that lingers just that little deeper in your imagination every time you saunter down Bedford Avenue, surrounded by girls in neon tights and guys in ruffed up converse. You know the one? Well, guess what, you’re too late. It’s arrived. It’s French. And it’s so damn good.

Really dig the Lovecraft vibe of this Capriole collection by Iris van Herpen. The weird wormy thing looks like a painting I did inspired by by Yog Sathoth.
South Florida artist Tarra Wood is inspired by popular culture and American societal values. In her work, she frequently incorporates movie monsters, dinosaurs, cheesy science fiction and anything relating to films or television. Read more
